Romance and Twinkling Lights

Romance and Twinkling Lights

A Vision of Romance from the Very First Meeting

From the very first meeting, Andrew could envision Emilia’s wedding. She was one of the happiest, most relaxed brides, with a crystal-clear vision: a celebration that blended summer romance with casual family fun. Picture twinkling lights, glowing candles, and airy floral designs perfectly complementing the season.

The wedding took place at the stunning Redfield Estate at The Grove in Glenview, Illinois—a stately historic home with an elegant covered pavilion, surrounded by a breathtaking 150-acre nature preserve. Emilia and Nicholas exchanged vows beneath the sweeping branches of a majestic oak tree, a setting that felt both intimate and timeless.

Locally Sourced Flowers for a Romantic Garden Wedding

With most blooms sourced from a local flower farm, we curated floral arrangements that captured Emilia’s vision of effortless beauty. Her bouquet featured a romantic mix of summer florals in soft, airy tones. The pavilion’s long farm tables were decorated with scattered vases of vibrant seasonal blooms, creating a just-picked wildflower feel that enhanced the venue’s natural charm.

Emilia’s bridal bouquet stands out as one of our top five favorites of all time. Lush, textural, and artfully arranged, it perfectly reflected the romantic garden style she had imagined.

The Team

An elegant and memorable event like Nicholas & Emilia’s wedding doesn’t happen wtihout an amazing team of professionals – some seen and some unseen. We are grateful to have worked with such a team!

Sunset Wedding at the Morton Arboretum

Sunset Wedding at the Morton Arboretum

Leah & Drew’s wedding at the Morton Arboretum was pure magic—an elegant late-summer celebration bathed in warm, golden light and bursting with rich color. Inspired by the glow of a September sunset, the floral palette featured lush tones of peach, apricot, rust, and copper that brought the Gingko Room to life. Set against the Arboretum’s natural beauty, the mood felt like an enchanted garden fairytale, layered with thoughtful details, glowing candlelight, and twinkling string lights overhead. Luxurious wedding flowers always shine at the Morton Arboretum!

A Warm, Romantic Sunset Floral Palette

Our designs featured a curated blend of seasonal blooms and luxury floral varieties, including:

  • Deep Expression garden roses

  • Free Spirit roses

  • Peach ranunculus

  • Copper butterfly ranunculus

  • Coral snapdragons

  • Burgundy cymbidium orchids

  • Multiple varieties of fragrant eucalyptus

The rich, painterly colors echoed the late summer sky and added depth, texture, and warmth to the entire event.

The Gingko Room: A Canvas for Color

The Gingko Room at the Morton Arboretum offered a beautiful blank canvas. Its open, airy space was transformed by our florals into a romantic, light-filled setting where every detail—down to the flicker of candlelight—felt intentional.

From floral centerpieces to ceremony installations, every design was crafted to reflect the couple’s dreamy, modern aesthetic with a nod to the natural landscape surrounding them.
